It is a standardized powdered extract obtained from the juice of three pigmented varieties (Moro, Tarocco and Sanguinello) of Sicilian red orange grown exclusively in a particular area surrounding the most active volcano in Europe, Etna.
Thanks to the phenolic compounds (anthocyanins, flavanones and hydroxycinnamic acids) and the antioxidant ascorbic acid, ROC is able to reduce oxidative stress and protect the skin from damage induced by UV rays (skin erythema) and control hyperpigmentation (melanin production) and photoaging.
